PURPOSE

This role will facilitate end-to-end volume retail recruitment in each of Aesop?s markets within the USA (East Coast and West Coast) to ensure that successful candidates align with Aesop?s culture and role requirements. The Recruiter will work with both HR Business Partners and Retail Managers to understand resourcing needs and to develop recruitment strategies for each vacancy. In conjunction with the global Talent Acquisition Manager, this role will develop and implement consistent recruitment processes and best practice as well as maintain a pipeline of candidates for future roles. As candidates? first introduction to working with Aesop, the role will act as an advocate for the Aesop brand, culture and employee value proposition.

SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years' experience recruiting within the American markets, preferably experience with retail recruitment
  • Knowledge of best practice recruitment processes, including interviewing techniques
  • Proven ability to effectively and confidently communicate and influence within all levels in an organization
  • Innovative, self-starter with an ability to identify, propose and implement improvements
  • Intuitive ability to assess talent skills, capabilities, potential, and cultural fit
  • Prior experience in retail volume recruitment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment

  • In conjunction with the global Talent Acquisition Manager and regional People Services Manager, implement and maintain Aesop?s recruitment strategy for America, ensuring immediate and future needs are considered
  • Facilitate the end-to-end retail recruitment in each of Aesop?s current and prospective markets within the USA.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant hiring managers to understand and define resourcing requirements
  • Tailor a recruitment strategy for each role (e.g. interviewing process, key skills and experiences required)
  • Recognize vacancies and create new job descriptions where required, in partnership with hiring managers
  • Identify with relevant hiring manager the most appropriate approach to advertising vacancies (e.g. LinkedIn, job boards, Careers Fairs etc.)
  • Advertise vacancies in the most appropriate and effective way
  • Convey the Aesop Employee Value Proposition and programs which support this to potential candidates
  • Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and further interviewing as required
  • Communicate with relevant managers the process of the recruitment process and organize appropriate follow up actions
  • Respond in a timely and professional manner to applicants
  • Reference and background checking
  • Draft and negotiate job offers according to company guidelines
  • Create and provide successful applicants with offer letters, new starter paperwork and application forms
  • Pre-on board successful applicants (e.g. progress through Workday HRIS system, initiate onboarding process for new hires to receive I-9 work authorization documents, and ensure payroll and IT processes are triggered in a timely manner)
  • Liaise with external recruiters as required

Relationships

  • Build strong working relationships within Aesop
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships (e.g. with recruiters, other retail or Aesop-aligned companies, diversity and affinity organizations, etc.)
  • Maintain vendor relationships with LinkedIn, agencies and other service providers

Reporting

  • Maintain a pipeline of candidates for future recruiting, share this as necessary with the relevant managers
  • Utilize Workday?s recruitment reporting dashboards and share regularly with hiring managers and HRBPs
  • Build and maintain relevant recruitment metrics (work towards high expectations of meeting SLAs)
  • Identify and maintain a list of target companies, recruitment resources and contacts
  • Contribute to monthly Board Reports

General Projects

  • Continuously evaluate the efficiency of the recruitment function, implementing improvements or escalating suggestions as necessary
  • Create processes where necessary
  • Create and maintain a thorough internal and external talent pipeline for future roles
  • Take on ad hoc projects as delegated by People Services Manager

Team Involvement, Support and Management

  • Assist in maintaining harmonious workplace relationships by openly and effectively communicating with other employees
  • Be an active team member by demonstrating a willingness to help and support others

Health and Safety

  • Ensure that full care is taken in the performance of all duties in order to protect the health and safety of oneself, fellow employees, visitors and consultants
  • Immediately follow up on any safety or health concerns within Aesop space
