What is a Galileo thermometer and how does it work? Well, it is a thermometer made of a sealed glass cylinder containing a clear liquid and several glass bulbs of varying density. The individual bulbs rise or fall in proportion to their respective density and the density of the surrounding liquid as the temperature changes. From each bulb hangs a metal tag with a temperature engraved on it. The bulb that rises to the top will tell you the temperature. Given to my dad as a gift. In the original box. Although the box is open it looks like it's never been used.
My mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Now that she has passed I am selling off her collection.
