July 21, 1987 BLESS JERUSALEM WITH PEACE (3 religions) ceramic wall hanging 14 of 21
"From the gate of Jerusalem I send two hands to the sky with two doves in order to illustrate prayer f peace. Together the doves create the Star of David which is a symbol of hope. Here it is hoping for peace.
In the city of Jerusalem and in this picture you can find the symbols of the three major religions and examples of typical middle eastern architecture.
On the right is a mosque with its crescent moon over the dome.
On the left is a cross of the church, to its right a Jewish candelabra.
These visible symbols can also be felt with your finger.
The minaret and the section of the old wall with its arches and arched gate to the city within are characteristic of the Middle East, as are the colors, window shapes and decorations all blending to give that special feeling which is Jerusalem.
This is one of the pictures that I chose to represent in my brochure."
