I’m looking for a one-bedroom apartment in New York City for a low-budget student short film shooting over 2–3 days in the first half of December.
Film Title: THE DOOR IS WHERE ALL THE DRAMA OCCURS
Writer/Director: Nizami Murtuzayev (Columbia University School of the Arts – Film MFA)
The Story:
The film follows Irada and her husband Samir as they tour a small Upper West Side apartment with their real estate broker. What begins as a routine viewing slowly exposes the emotional distance between them, revealed through silences, small gestures, and Irada’s growing unease.
Location Needs:
* A one-bedroom apartment with a slightly aged, lived-in feel
* Wooden floors, natural light, and imperfections that add character (see reference photo)
* Warm, natural light, older parquet or hardwood floors, simple white walls, and a slightly timeworn feel
* Any borough considered
We are a small Columbia MFA crew, fully insured, and can provide a location agreement.
If you have a suitable space or any leads, I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you!
