Surgery Center Medical Assistant, FMG
Our busy outpatient surgery center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. FMG are welcome to apply. We provide a supportive, professional environment where patient care and teamwork are top priorities.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting physicians, nurses, and surgical staff before, during, and after procedures
Preparing patients for surgery and ensuring accurate documentation
Taking vitals, updating patient charts, and maintaining medical records
Assisting with pre-op and post-op patient care
Maintaining exam rooms, surgical prep areas, and medical supplies
Ensuring compliance with safety, sterilization, and infection control protocols
Providing compassionate support to patients and families
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification preferred (but not required with relevant experience)
Prior experience in a surgery center, hospital, or medical office setting is a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology, vitals, and EMR systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time, Monday–Friday (no nights, weekends, or major holidays)
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Benefits package available after probationary period
Location: Midtown
