This is a beautifully illustrated book. If you love fruits and vegetables, you will love this book. There are short essays on each food item regarding the history of the fruit or vegetable and the uses. It is an amazing reference book.
This book is incredibly rich in content, featuring stunning realistic illustrations and detailed text descriptions. It perfectly balances aesthetics with practical information. It’s a great fit for both adults and children
I am absolutely flabbergasted that I have not ever heard of this amazing Italian watercolorist, Marilena Pistoia! I am also amazed at the quality of the reproductions even though this book was first published in 1973! There are many new books that cannot replicate the quality of this book. If you are a botanical artist or just appreciate fine complete, precise correct details, you will be in awe of this book! The beautiful layout/designs of the paintings by Marilena are also very creative.
