We paid $1460 for the bed plus the "Bed Doubler" that allows you to turn the twin and trundle into a king bed when you want the larger size. You can have it all for $450.

The specs are 39.5 In. wide, 24 In. height, 78.7 In. long. The bottom Mattress that goes in the foundation is 9 In. The Headboard is not included. Mattress and Frames are included in the price. All parts come already assembled. Will accommodate a regular Twin Size Headboard.
Leg size (black top) : 2.5 inches
Bottom box spring thickness (itself) : 13 inches
Space between Pop-up unit, and the floor : 4 inches
Top mattress thickness : 9 inches
Top to bottom thickness : 22 inches (incl. mattress)
For top mattress it is twin XL sheets and for bottom pop-up unit even it is not exactly a twin size, it is close to twin size, you can use a twin size sheet. The pop up unit with mattress has to be smaller than the top mattress in order to fit it under.
Pop-up unit is spring-assist. There is a security handle to operate it, and once you hold it up it goes up and goes down slow motion.
