Hiya, Wooden Dummy Guy here and I make freestanding wooden dummies. My designs and offerings have gotten pretty large over the years making these so this ad should essentially cover any questions you might have and I’ll include a variety of pictures so you can get an idea of what I make. Hope this helps ya find the style you want.

** Holidays are over but it’s a great time to place an order! I can get them done fast. **

They're used for practicing a variety of martial arts and most specifically Wing Chun. But they’ve been adapted into so many other styles now. I’ve made them for people that wanted to use them specifically for kicking, stick fighting, even boxing. It’s really amazing. But if you're here. . .. you probably already have an idea on that and know how much they can cost. My Jongs are made at a much much cheaper price than the similar store bought model that can cost upwards of $500.00+. I'll go into further specifics through this ad. . .

First, the price. At $275.00, you get the my heavy model which includes the bent knee leg and three arms (arms have a faux taper). The heavy dummy is essentially my standard (it’s 25% wider and longer at the base and has a double thick layered face) one now but I can still make my original, all around smaller and lighter, version if requested ($250). You can get a variety of attachments on these to increase stability or just to generally make them more fun or specific to what you do.

Here's an idea of what I can add and pricing. Everything is just added to the base price.

-Rope and to have it roped ($25.00)
-Engraving ($20.00) Characters, simple designs, etc.
-Hinged Olympic Weight Holder Attachment ($30.00) (Addes extra stability to minimize movement)
-Extra top arm ($25.00 similar to a Choy La Fut dummy). Having another arm above the top 2 allows for practice of higher techniques, pinning, and/or pulling
-Rounded wings for a cleaner feel ($20)
-Stabilizing Skis ($30) (less bulky alternative to a weight holder)
-T-arms ($60)
-Alternative colors ($25)

**I offer a “recommended model” now at a slight discount**

-My recommended model comes with rope, weight holder, and rounded wings. Though these are great as is these two things make it the best it can be. I discount the price for getting this and put it at $340.00.

-I also now make what I’m calling my “modern model.” It’s the one in the pics that looks totally different. Angular face, metal framing, and recessed limbs for cleaner striking on the pads. Pricing is $420.00 for the full “modern” one and $375.00 for one that fits in my standard base.

-Half and half dummy ($375) which is a mix of the aforementioned “modern dummy” and my traditional base. You get the benefits and look of the angular modern dummy but the added stability and sturdiness of my big ol’ bases.

-New half dummy model ($210) A mountable dummy at an affordable price. Can design these several ways to accommodate particular mounting ideas.

-All attachments to any model are just added to the base price. No change from my standard dummies.

Here's a quick run down of the "hows and whats," of it's assembly.

All dummies are hand built by me every step of the way. Made of a combination of Premium Douglas Fir/Pine and Poplar.

All Jongs are easily transported and slide apart at the middle. This also makes them easy to adjust. There is a base that is 27" high/27”-32”wide/27”-32”long at the most(depending on model). And the face is a maximum of 65" long 10" wide and 8" thick. Weight a total of approximately 40-50 lbs or so. Will fit in any average car.

Each dummy will also have at least two coats of stain and sealant. Standard color is a medium reddish brown. Other colors like black or golden oak are an option ($15 for variant colors). Always sanded to a nice finish and I pick particular grain patterns to make them as nice looking as possible.

This specific style of freestanding Jong is great for really drilling the principles of your art. They can be made to move very little for harder practice or you can choose to have them move around a bit while you practice your footwork and spacing. Freestanding dummies are really a great alternative to the very expensive and inflexible traditional mounted models. I practice and teach myself and ALWAYS have had one here.

If you're leary about the sturdiness. . . don't be. I've had my original Jong for 12+ years with no problems and have never had a complaint down the line for as long as i've been making these (Probably around 250 dummies over the course of 8+ years). You will be happy with it. I just keep making em and people keep liking them.

Sadly, I don't ship these. It defeats the purpose of making affordable great quality Jongs. Quotes i've gotten have cost anywhere from $120-$180. So, feel free to ask, but it most likely won't happen. Making a day trip if you’re quite far is what most people do. The gas and time are usually much less of a hassle than trying to ship. They're just an awkward shape. LOCAL PICKUP
**I will meet fairly close to my residence. But not always. So, I must still say LOCAL PICKUP is choice here. I'm 15 minutes outside of Philly about 35-40 min away from Trenton.**

I hope this covers any questions you might have. . . but if you have any others don't hesitate to ask.
