The Host/Hostess is to welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival, answer telephone, take reservations and manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. This position is to perform the above duties in a friendly & courteous manner while maintaining a smooth flow throughout the restaurant.
MUST HAVE HIGH VOLUME & OPENTABLE EXPERIENCE FOR CONSIDERATION
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be able to share knowledge with guests
• Greet all guests promptly and graciously upon arrival
• Answer telephone and respond to guests' inquiries in a professional manner
• Assist servers, food-runners or bartenders as necessary
• Communicate special requests and needs of guests with staff and managers
• Complete additional tasks at the request of a manager along with End of Shift Responsibilities
• Maintain and clean front desk area at all times
• Open front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
• Record guest name and number of people in party when immediate seating is limited
• Attend to guest and party when tables become available
• Provide guests with estimated wait time, while always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient or irate guests
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in high-volume fine dining restaurant
• Excellent verbal & telephone skills to be able to communicate clearly & effectively with guests
• Excellent oral communication & interpersonal skills required
• Must be a team player & demonstrate organizational skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of Resy & Micros preferred
• Must have Open Availability (AM & PM) & be able to work on weekdays, weekends, & holidays
