Joonbug is seeking a full-time Nightlife Event Manager in our New York City office. We are looking for true-believers and hospitality careerists who can grow with us! The Nightlife Event Manager is responsible for the development and execution of special events and marketing programs for a wide variety of clients in the nightlife and hospitality industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-Responsible for all in house events from conception to conclusion; including preparing the site for walk-throughs, event preparation, proposals and invoicing, etc.
-Catch inbound calls and emails regarding table reservations and events with the goal of converting them into sales
-Research venues and vendors utilized to assist with building successful events, including but not limited to, booking agents, security, décor, staffing, food, and beverage etc
-Contract negotiations and formatting
-Conduct an extensive post-event analysis that provides clients with a full account of the event and potential opportunities for improvement in the future.
-Able to market and draw a crowd for promotional one-off or weekly events
-Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Marketing, Communications, PR, Business) or equivalent experience
-A flexible schedule is mandatory- work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
-Exceptional organizational and time management skills with rigorous attention to detail
-Extroverted, self-motivated and resilient with strong problem-solving skills
-Ability to handle high-pressure situations with confidence in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
-Candidates must live within the Tri-State area, with the ability to efficiently travel to and from the NYC office
-Travel to outside markets may be required
-Basic Microsoft Office skills with strong proficiency in spreadsheet applications
