We’re a high-energy, neighborhood bar in NYC with a loyal local following, a fast-paced atmosphere, and a strong sports bar component. We serve great food, pour stiff drinks, and pack the house on game days and nights. We’re looking for a hands-on Manager to join our team of managers and help lead our team and keep things running smoothly, especially during peak hours and major events.
Job Summary:
This Manager will join the team of seasoned managers who are responsible for overseeing day-to-day front-of-house operations, leading staff, and ensuring a fun, efficient, and guest-focused environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in high-volume service, can manage a large team, and loves the buzz of a packed bar on game day.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations and staff scheduling
Lead and coach FOH team (bartenders, servers, hosts)
Ensure excellent guest service and smooth flow during peak hours
Oversee bar inventory, ordering, and cost controls
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionally
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with NYC regulations
Support a positive, profesional, and energetic team culture
Shifts are typically 10 hours, but can be 8 or 12 depending on the day and season. 45-55 hour work weeks, also depending on the week, and the season. It is important that we find a candidate who understands the dynamic and ever changing nature of this business, and doesn't leave for the day just because the schedule says they are done, sometimes we stay late when our team needs us.
Report's directly to General Manager and Director of Operations/Managing Partners
Qualifications:
3+ years of bar/restaurant management experience in a high-volume setting
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Punctuality
Knowledge of beer, cocktails, and casual dining service
Experience managing busy game-day or event-driven crowds
Comfortable with POS systems, scheduling tools, and microsoft excel
NYC Food Protection Certificate a must
Nights, weekends, and holidays availability required. Flexibility to adapt to what the business and team needs depending on the week. We are open 365 days a year, until 2am on some nights and 4am on others. Must be willing to do some late night and closing shifts.
Ability to lift cases of beer up and down flights of stairs. Ability to be on feet for 10+ hours per day when business calls for it.
