Sonnyboy is a dinner/brunch restaurant serving modern Australian cuisine in a casual and professional environment. We have a small team who work hard while having a lot of fun and we pride ourselves on being a true neighborhood spot in the Lower East Side. Sonnyboy is looking for an experienced Brunch Floor Manager / Barista to join the team!
Applicants must be passionate about both food and providing a great experience to all our guests. Good vibes and a positive attitude toward your team and our guests are an absolute must!
EXPERIENCE
3 years of floor manager experience required.
Skillset:
MANAGERIAL (PRIMARY)
Direct daily work activities of all scheduled staff including but not limited to floor plans, section assignment & side work.
Monitor, manage and report any discrepancies with registers between shifts.
Responsible for overall grooming service staff.
Monitor what works and what does not and communicate your observations and suggestions for improvements.
Assist with training of all new hired and existing staff and training materials generation.
BARISTA (Secondary)
Ability to make all the hot and cold espresso-based drinks. Latte Art is mandatory
Experience with various coffee machines
Batch all the drinks as necessary
Replenish stock and supplies during service
Open the Bar area
Close the bar area at the of the shift.
BARTENDER
Bartending skills are a plus; Or should have the ability to learn behind the bar.
HOURS
Should be available Friday / Saturday and Sunday - from 8 AM to 5 PM
Possible more hours during other days of the week.
