Casa Louie is looking for a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead and grow our back-of-house operation in the heart of Manhattan. We’re an Italian restaurant focused on quality ingredients, house-made pizzas, fresh pasta, high-volume service, and an energetic team culture.
This role is for a true operator and leader — someone who can oversee daily kitchen execution, build and manage a high-performing team, maintain standards, and help drive the next phase of growth for the restaurant.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee all kitchen operations and day-to-day BOH execution
Hire, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff
Build a positive, accountable, high-performance team culture
Ensure consistency, quality, cleanliness, and speed of service
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Manage prep systems, inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
Work closely with ownership and FOH leadership to improve operations
Lead line checks, prep organization, and service execution
Help develop systems, SOPs, and kitchen efficiencies
Coach and mentor cooks while holding the team accountable
Maintain labor targets and support profitability goals
Step in wherever needed during service
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of kitchen management or executive sous chef experience
Strong leadership presence and communication skills
Experience hiring and developing kitchen teams
High-volume restaurant experience preferred
Italian, pizza, or scratch-kitchen experience is a plus
Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, and inventory
Ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure
NYC food safety certification preferred
Organized, reliable, and solutions-oriented mindset
