We are a well-established, high-volume restaurant in the heart of Manhattan seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Details:
• This position requires evening and late-night hours. The General Manager will be expected to stay until 2:00 AM most nights.
• Salary range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus opportunities available.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a busy late-night restaurant.
• Hire, train, schedule, and manage front- and back-of-house staff.
• Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, and compliance with NYC health/safety regulations.
• Monitor and control labor and operational costs while driving sales.
• Handle customer service issues and ensure smooth nightly operations through closing.
• Collaborate with ownership on budgeting, promotions, and long-term planning.
Requirements:
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or General Manager (NYC experience strongly preferred).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold staff accountable.
• Comfortable working late nights and weekends — this is a must.
• Strong financial and organizational skills (POS, scheduling, inventory).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people skills.
