Founded in 1992 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Pain D’Avignon quickly became one of the Northeast’s top artisan bread purveyors. By 2000, our NYC bakery in Long Island City (LIC) began supplying top chefs, restaurants, and hotels. In 2012, we opened our first retail café at The Plaza Food Hall. Today, we proudly operate six retail locations across NYC and a full-service restaurant—Dekalb Market, Essex Market, four Moxy hotels and our restaurant at Rockefeller Center—serving fresh, high-quality food daily.
Our main office and bakery remain in LIC, where we continue to craft artisan bread with old-world traditions. Expanding beyond cafés, we recently launched The Tipsy Baker by Café d’Avignon, our first restaurant at Rockefeller Center.
At Café d’Avignon, everything begins with quality ingredients and freshness. Rooted in French tradition and American classics, our menu is simple, honest, and crafted daily with care. From our artisan breads to our seasonal offerings, we prioritize local and organic ingredients that highlight freshness and flavor.
Now Hiring: FOH Counter/Retailers (All Café d’Avignon Locations)
We are currently offering Seasonal Full-Time positions with possibility to continue with us if performance is great!
We are looking for enthusiastic, hospitality-driven individuals who share our passion for fresh, high-quality food, artisan bread, specialty coffee, and exceptional guest service.
Pay & Benefits
$16.50 – $18.00 per hour + tips (based on experience)

Requirements
Open availability preferred, weekends and holidays are a must!!
Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
Valid I-9 verification required
Genuine interest in quality food, artisan bread, and specialty coffee
Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and providing excellent guest experiences
Prior FOH/hospitality experience preferred but not required — we are happy to train the right candidates!
