Jupiter, a second restaurant from the team behind King, celebrates the generous simplicity of regional Italian food and drink in New York’s iconic Rockefeller Center. Located at the North Side of the rink, the restaurant has become an essential part of Midtown’s new “town square” with its focused menu of antipasti and pasta, aperitivo and wines, and our signature warm hospitality.


Jupiter is seeking passionate, committed Dining Room Managers to join our team. Ideal candidates are natural leaders who demonstrate a genuine interest in providing exceptional hospitality. Dining Room Manager responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of all service team employees.
  • Opening duties, including but not limited to: leading pre-shift meetings, liaising with the kitchen to stay informed on menu changes and service notes, adjusting staffing according to cover counts and spread of reservations, ensuring service staff and dining room are prepared for service.
  • Directing the flow of service, providing direction and delegating responsibilities, running food and beverages, and communicating with the kitchen and door teams. 
  • Addressing technical or facilities issues as they arise. 
  • Troubleshooting any guest or reservation issues. 
  • Closing duties, including: recording staff tips and hours, reconciling cash, writing service recap, checking service team closing duties and performing a final walkthrough of the restaurant.
  • Effectively communicating guest feedback to the management team and participating in any necessary follow-up with guests.
  • Assist with hiring, training and education of front-of-house staff.
  • Motivating and leading staff to perform at the highest possible level.
  • Participate in ongoing staff training and development, collaborating with the rest of the management team to identify and address opportunities for feedback and coaching among the FOH staff. 

Qualified Dining Room Manager candidates will have:

  • 1-2 years leadership experience in a fine-dining restaurant.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge and a commitment to learning more.
  • An ability to lead with empathy.
  • A strong capacity to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and to make decisions that are in the best interest of the restaurant, our guests, and staff.
  • NYC DOH Food Protection Certification and an ability to establish and enforce best practices for maintaining the highest standards of health and hygiene for the restaurant.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace suite, MS Word, and Excel.
