Dear client, greetings!
This is XinOu Wei, violinist and leader of the New York City based XinOu Wei Strings. I would be delighted to play for this wonderful occasion. I have performed for Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and H.R.H. Princess Madeleine, and XinOu Wei Strings is the strings of choice of the legendary pianist Richard Clayderman. I regularly play for major events, weddings, and concerts in New York, at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Plaza, The Pierre, Cipriani, Capitale, Chelsea Piers, Weylin, Metropolitan Club, and Ziegfeld Ballroom. Most recently, I led my 12-piece string orchestra in concert at Carnegie Hall with Mr.Clayderman for his “Timeless Romance” concert-one of the biggest shows in North America.
I’m happy to share with you my playlist of songs in which you may choose from-we are also happy to take a number of requests if the songs of choice are not included on my list.
It brings me immense pride and joy for having received the most stellar reviews from my clients-being the most and best reviewed violinist on “Bash” in New York City. You may read these reviews from former/present clients at:

--------ON TEACHING--------
I have always had a passion, and love for teaching, since my first student about 14 years ago. I still remember vividly that how all the passion accumulated during my own practicing, finally found a way of letting out. Teaching has ever been, a great satisfaction of expressing, and fulfilling myself. Later on, I have had the great honor of teaching at Meadowmount School of Music, as the teaching assistant of the legendary Sally Thomas-whose guidance I owe so much throughout my very own life in music. I have taught, and given masterclasses in some of the nation's leading musical institutions, among others: the Aspen Music Festival and School's PALS program, Meadowmount School of Music, Queens College Summer Music Festival, Center for Musical Excellence, and Rutgers University. I have served as chairman of the Jury/Jury member for New York International Competition for Young Artists, Aaron Copland School of Music of the Queen College Summer Festival Competition, and the Adelphi Orchestra Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition. While currently playing concertmaster for the Camerata New York, Long Island Opera, Adelphi Orhcestra, Garden State Philharmonic, Ars Musica Society, and Central Park Symphony Orchestra, I have always devoted a considerable amount of time solely in my teaching studio. Many of the undergraduate and graduate students from Mannes College, and Manhattan School of Music seek for my help on technical and interpretive matters. I have always found and particular joy teaching adults, who only had the necessary time and energy to music later on in life, and we always maintain a wonderful relationship. The past experience and my constant thinking, had sorted me out a systematic way of teaching violinists of all levels and physical make ups. I do not believe in a particular teaching style, nor method. I believe that it is important that you study the individual, knowing their capacity, character, and respond and achieve the maximum through understanding and repetition. When does correctly, its benefit is enormous. If I ever had a motto, I don't believe there is any shortcut, nor tricks in violin playing, just as in all other aspects in life, as life itself.
My students have won competitions, auditions, and gained admission in some of the most prestigious institutions of the country. Many of the young violinists from Juilliard, Manhattan, and Mannes School, as well as freelancers have come to me for coaching. I also enjoy very much working with enthusiastic adults of all levels.
