Practice and promote safety while working with hourly plant positions in such a way as including, but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
The Engineer will work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure the successful operation of the plant.
Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
Ensure bill of materials (BOMS) and equipment history system match within both electronic and hard copy libraries.
Analysis and elimination of repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA, and similar techniques.
Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment.
Responsible for the process of gathering input and facilitating task completion through others.
Research solutions to technical problems.
Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners.
Provide technical support, training, and development for maintenance functions with a specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group.
Be willing to manage various plant improvement projects.
Be willing to supervise hourly & contracted employees when necessary.
Participate in the maintenance on-call system.
Be flexible and willing to work off-shifts when necessary.
