On Pre-1979 Classic Cars

You would be hard pressed to find some one to replace Me.I was the guy who put the cars
together for the body man in big shops .when younger.I put cars together with manuals and boxes and boxes of parts.
I would be excited to do the whole restoration but my labor rate is 125.00 an hr and most people want to do the bodywork them selves.
I was offered the opportunity to replace a floor pan on a 1971 cuda convertible.The holy grail of moper.
The first guy he took it to was lost.You could tell.
You have to expand the transmission tunnel while connecting the front and rear frames.He had no clue how to draw the floor down to the rear frames.He called me to clean it up. He welded it 5 inches from the frame.The car sat outside for many years and the condensation heavily pitted the underneath.
He wanted me to reuse and replace the old floor pan and fill the pits that were very deep.This type of work dont call me.
I do not Hack collectable cars.
