Mellow Bar is a wellness-driven nail salon in Manhattan, known for Japanese gel and natural nail care. With two thoughtfully designed locations, we focus on delivering an elevated client experience while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented workplace for our team.
We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations and uphold the high standards our clients expect.
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth daily operations by supporting the General Manager
Provide five-star service both on the floor and occasionally at the front desk
Manage inventory: restocking, organizing, and tracking supplies
Assist with hiring and training new team members, including scheduling and onboarding
Support staff development and foster a collaborative team culture
Handle transactions with accuracy and follow cash-handling procedures
Maintain a positive, professional atmosphere in line with Mellow Bar’s values
Available in weekends
Qualifications:
Previous experience in beauty or hospitality industry (over 2 years preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Clear communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask effectively
Strong sense of accountability and professionalism
Discretion with sensitive and confidential matters
Flexible availability, including weekends
