Separating domain, email, and web through separate providers. Good for security, stability, and flexibility. For example, if your server goes down so does your website and email. At least your email would continue to work if your web server goes down. Additionally, this allows you to freely migrate between different web hosts without having to worry about moving domain or emails as they are already externalized.
