This issue is a very special one as it has an article about the legacy of the recently deceased Babe Ruth(died August 16, 1948) and has pictures of Hall of Fame players on all 4 covers(front & back & inside covers)!!!

On the front cover, Lou Boudreau is shown sliding into home plate. The inside front cover shows star Phillies pitcher, Robin Roberts, and the back inside cover shows Babe Ruth. The back cover shows pictures of home run sluggers, Ralph Kiner and Johnny Mize.

The magazine contains a wealth of baseball history. There is an article about Brooklyn Dodger pitcher, Rex Barney, and lengthy editorial comments about the 1947 New York Yankee rookie phenom pitcher, Frank Shea. There are other articles about Hank Sauer, Nippy Jones, Eddie Sawyer, Eddie Joost, and the strange case of the newest 4 home runs in one game player, Pat Seerey, as well as an interesting baseball quiz, etc.

All pages are intact. and there is normal wear and tear for this nearly 75 year old magazine. The worst damage is the lower right hand corner of the front cover.

I am located in the East 80s.
