Neoclassical Revival Profile Portrait Medallions and Flora Console Table, ca. 1925
Wrought iron base with cast iron medallions and black marble
Dimensions: Height 31 Width 30 Depth 18 inch
Condition: Table base is in good period condition with wear, distress, losses, and color changes to the metal (potential surface treatments). Its overall presentation is strong. Its four decorative medallions and complete metal frame are finished on the exterior and inside of the table. The contemporary marble is in excellent condition and its underside is not polished.
The light-weight console frame is a warm color and the heavy marble is a cool color creating a visually interesting contrast.
Note: The marble is contemporary. The table has a small foot print and works well in small spaces. Despite its historic style, the table appears to integrate well with contemporary design.
