This was Montreal Expos' pitcher Howard Farmer's first major league game. He was the loser in this game as the Atlanta Braves won 6 to 3. John Smoltz was the starting and winning pitcher for the Braves as they scored all their runs via home runs--2 by Jim Presley, and one each by Jeff Treadway and Andres Thomas.
