Notes: The design object bears an adhesive label on its bottom that reads: "Boym Editions, 2009, no. 9. The "9" is written by hand in black ink. (It was publicized as being a limited edition of 1,000.)
Original box and packing material (the packaging material is utilitarian: a plan white cardboard box with styrofoam peanuts.)
Background: This design object is a presidential inauguration souvenir commemorating the first Black U.S. president by focusing on the architecture of the White House and commenting on color by making the White House blue, which most immediately signifies the Democratic Party, but also invites additional interpretations.
