This is a beautifully detailed Vintage Royal Worcester porcelain terrine produced by Jones, McDuffee, & Stratton in Boston. Gorgeous intricate design, wonderful ram shaped handles. It appears this piece has had a lot of repairs done. On the base, under the lid, and the lid handle, which had to be glued back to the lid. You can find the same terrine on well-known auction sites beginning with an "E" selling for anywhere from $100 to $180. Which is why, even given all its repairs, the price on this beauty is a steal. And in fact, if you don't turn it upside down you won't even notice any of the repairs. The inside of the terrine is spotless.
Mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Mom actually used to have an antique store on Gramercy Park called Irving Barber Shop Antiques. Now that she has passed I am selling off those pieces from the store that she brought home after high rents forced her out of business.
