This guide was published by The Sporting News, the dean of baseball info during this era. It provides stats for 1955 of both major league and minor league teams as well as official baseball rules, There are pictures of each of the major league teams, other key photos of the year's highlights, key vignettes etc. This guide offers a great insight into the way the minor leagues were organized at this time.

The guide is in very good condition with the only noticeable flaws being two corners of the front cover.

The last picture is of the back cover. The next to last picture shows the team picture of the New York Yankees, which is abbreviated because it is bound into the guide.
