This is a chance to own part of baseball history--a scorecard of the original Athletics team in Philadelphia prior to their move to three other cities and a future move to Las Vegas.
This program has been scored and was a game played August 17 between the A's and the Boston Red Sox. In the game Ted Williams hit his 30th home run of the year, the Red Sox won 5 to 1 in 10 innings, and both starting pitchers completed the game!!! Chuck Stobbs was the Red Sox pitcher and Dick Fowler hurled for the A's.
The program has great ads of the time, other baseball info, and articles about Alex Kellner, Wally Moses, and Bobby Shantz. The article about Shantz tells about his first big league win, a game earlier in the year in which he pitched 9 NO HIT innings IN RELIEF.
The scorecard is in good condition except for some age related yellowing.
