  • Design and oversee donor solicitations and communications and overall fundraising communication strategy.
  • Create and execute an annual plan for individual and corporate giving incorporating historical and current giving data to craft a strategy for donor recruitment, retention, and solicitation.
  • Conceptualize and manage direct mail and online marketing components for all solicitations and appeals in collaboration with Communications team members.
  • Lead, supervise, and coach two full-time development professionals to create and implement effective cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for donors and prospects to effectively drive results in both their individual and team portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships with program teams to facilitate the coordination of volunteer opportunities and donor site visits, and act as a spokesperson and expert on The Foundling and its work in order to attract and engage donors and volunteers.
  • Oversee all corporate partnership initiatives, including sponsorship development, corporate foundation relations, cause marketing opportunities, and corporate volunteer engagement.
  • Oversee management of The Foundling’s volunteer program, including management of individual volunteer opportunities.
  • Direct The Foundling’s in-kind giving program, accounting for more than $350,000 in donated goods and services each year.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills: ability to articulate The Foundling’s mission, program objectives, and funding needs persuasively to potential donors.
  • Strong contributor within team environments and a driver of organizational culture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize and coordinate with internal and external teams to meet project / event deadlines.
