Callas Books
This utterly unique collection of books and ephemera about La Divina, soprano Maria Callas, is for sale. 22 mostly-rare editions of hard-to-find and out-of-print books and magazines was lovingly collected and cared for by one of her most ardent fans, actor Michael (Mendy) Wager, who was the inspiration for Terrence McNally’s play, “The Lisbon Traviata”. Several volumes are signed or dedicated to him.
I would like to sell the collection as a whole, but would consider selling individual items.
$250 for the entire collection.
The large auction catalog alone sells online for $350.
