These are vintage hardcover collections of the types of cartoons one would see in the New Yorker and now defunct publications like the Saturday Evening Post and Colliers. Black and white single panel takes on work, family life, politics, etc. Some of these cartoons still hold up pretty well and are quite funny, others have not survived the test of time. Nevertheless I present for your perusal 4 very collectible fun and fascinating vintage cartoon collections.
1. Cobean's Naked Eye - 1950 1st edition (!) From the New Yorker
2. You've Got Me and How! - 1955 From the Saturday Evening Post
3. Cartoon Cavalcade - 1943 Fascinating Depression and War Time Era cartoons
4. The Best Cartoons from Punch - 1952 From British Humor Weekly Punch
My mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Now that she has passed I am selling off her collection.
