Light, fast and city-proof build, with almost everything upgraded, including lightweight wheelset, carbon fork and seatpost, and dual position front brake (TT bars and cross bar levers with in-line cables). Currently set up like a single speed. Easily converts to fixed gear with a track cog and lockring.
Entire bike is 17.2lbs with pedals and a bell. This build pre-dates the mass market heavy cheap steel "fixie" craze of the 20-teens.
City Proof:
This bike locks up perfectly with a single lock to the front wheel & frame. Security bolts on stem, headset, seatpost and seat bolt. Pinhead Track Bolts secure the Rear wheel. Nothing can be tampered with unless you have specific tools/keys. I have all the original bolts if you want to return it to stock.
Always parked indoors in my building's bike room when not in use. Well maintained and cared for.
Frame - Stock, no dents or bends, some scratches from lockups, never crashed
Fork - Specialized carbon fiber
Seatpost - carbon fiber
Rear Wheel - Velocity Deep V 30mm in digital camo with retroreflective tape, lightweight thin gauge spokes and IRO track hub
Front Wheel - IRD Niobium rim, thin gauge spokes on a Shimano 105 QR hub with ceramic BBs
Specialized Armadillo puncture resistant tires in 700c x 25mm. Never punctured. See pictures of wear indicators.
Stock crankset, 48T chainring and bottom bracket replaced by SID's in Chelsea a couple years before they closed
