1978 Schwinn Superior 22" - $350 (East Village)

I bought this a year ago from a seller that claimed it was unridden since new. I can't confirm, but it was believable as it's in excellent shape.
I cleaned all of the dried up grease from the bearings (hubs, BB, headset) and re-lubed so every turns nice and smooth.
I had a weird obsession to get this bike down to <24lb and made a lot of strange decisions to approach that goal. With different bars and 700C wheels, I made it to 24.6lb. As equipped, it comes in somewhere above 27lb.
I updated the tires, brakes, gearing, fork, stem and bars. The price reflects that some of these updated parts are still installed on the bike. I can replace them with the OEM parts for a lower price as well.
In terms of size, I'm 5'10" and with a taller stem installed the bike fit OK. I would not recommend for anybody taller. This is probably rideable down to 5'4", but the reach is fairly long, so you may need to swap to a swept bar for better fit.
All tuned up and shifts well. I just swapped back to the original drop bars, which still have the original brake housing. I would recommend replacing the brake housing, but rideable as is.

- Kalin 21.1mm riser stem. Fits in the current fork and raises bars. Uninstalled.
- 1-1/8" threadless headset. Never installed, but should allow you to swap to a modern threadless fork.
- All uninstalled OEM parts (shifters, derailleurs, brakes, etc) included in a small box
