This toaster toasts very well, it never burns if you put it on the right volume and it toasts both sides, the only reason I got another one is that I have to hold the metal bar sometimes so that I can pull the knob to start down as it may or may not get locked. Not a big deal more of a mater of convenience rather than performance in toasting. Just as a side note I had to get three to four different toasters until I finally found one that toasts as well as this one.
