This is the beautiful "Potence" lamp by Jean Prouvé, 1950... If you're reading this ad, you may already know what it is.
From the Vitra website: https://www.vitra.com/en-us/product/potence
"Designed as a pivoting wall lamp for the 'Maison Tropique', Potence is regarded as one of Jean Prouvé's puristic masterpieces. The fascination of this luminaire, which is over two metres long and dimmable, stems from the spareness of its materials and forms."
This Prouvé "Potence" lamp is an absolute Mid-Century Modern classic.
It is in excellent ++++ condition, with one very slight blemish (a bit of paint which I've never bothered to remove, but will come off), and it was from the 100% legit 2000's re-release of Prouve's desisgns produced by Vitra--in other words, not a knock-off. Other than DWR (and they sell them for $1810), these are no longer available, so this listing is your rare opportunity to get one.
And as many of you may know, originals from the 50s sell for upwards of $10k.
Measurements: H 30" W 80" D 2"
If the ad is still posted, the lamp is still available.
PRICE: $1250 (which is, as you know, a great deal!)
