Beautiful vintage Italian Micro Mosaic Picture Frame. As far as I can ascertain, this is from Florence. Uniquely shaped frame. Gorgeous floral design. Incredibly intricate mosaic. I believe the mosaics are tiny pieces of glass. The oval center no longer has its glass protector. The original photo backing is also lost to history. It looks like mom cut out a piece of cardboard to serve as backing. The frame itself appears to have a brass backing.

If you search "micro mosaic frames" in your favorite online auction site you will be surprised to learn how much money these frames sell for. Most are well over one hundred dollars. so don't let this steal pass you by.

Mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Mom actually used to have an antique store on Gramercy Park. Now that she has passed I am selling off those pieces from the store that she brought home after high rents forced her out of business.
