This mid-century classic, which still has its original lampshade, would look at home in an old black and white tv episode of the Dick Van Dyke Show or 77 Sunset Strip. Say it with me. Classic! I'm not sure of its provenance, as there is no label, but given that everything else from my childhood home was danish modern, there's a good chance this is as well. A steal at $200, highway robbery at $100!!!
The iron looks aged, or maybe it has always looked that way. In any case, it looks sharp. Ornate. Florid. Handsome as fuck!
And yes, it is tall. 40" from base to tip.
My mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Now that she has passed I am selling off her collection.
Click on the "More ads by this user" link on the right to see all the antiques and other items I am selling.
