* Excellent reproduction of the 1931 poster on paper – Framed in glass with a classic black frame!
* Printed signature on bottom left
* Mounted in a painted black wood frame under glass + wired for hanging
* Poster appears in great (e.g., mint) condition
* Frame shows very minimal signs of wear with no scratches, 2 tiny chips on Sherry, and no dings to the finish
* There are some small tears/punctures to the paper backing (see pics)

Georges Massiot 'Sandeman Porto & Sherry' Reproduction Poster
The well-known image of the "Don" representing Sandeman was drawn by the artist George Massiot Brown who was, in fact, Scottish by birth. He worked in France and approached the Sandeman Company in 1928 for work. Since French posters were very much in vogue at the time, Brown was commissioned to create an image to promote the Porto & Sherry produced by Sandeman.
This masterpiece of advertising art is a classic example of the Art Nouveau style and is celebrated for its bold and captivating design.
