An elegant antique serving spoon from my mom's eclectic collection of rare serving utensils. Beautiful unique wash bowl floral design. Note the wonderful flower engraved inside the bowl of the spoon. Handle engraved to the "SS Class of 1889." Was this a memento of some long gone British boarding school class? I only wish I knew. A well used piece of silverware reflecting its years of service to some long since deceased family's dinners. Selling for more than double this price on Etsy.
Personally, I love the way the metal has tarnished with time. Impress your Thanksgiving guests as you serve their meal with this wonderful dinner tool of yesteryear. Get rid of your boring modern utilitarian utensils and replace them with this fascinating example of a bygone era.
My mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Now that she has passed I am selling off her collection.
