Antique 19th-century Japanese Kutani porcelain bowl in the traditional aka-e style, showcasing the masterclass craftsmanship of of the middle Meiji era (1868 - 1912). Dense geometric "ajiro" weave and intricate gold-leaf medallions of phoenixes and florals, hand-painted iron-red enamel with vibrant gold gilt (kinran-de).
Measuring 7.25" in diameter and 3.25" high.
Authenticity: Hand signed on the base with the Kutani seal and artist name, Shinzan.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with characteristic fine glazed cracking.
