An Asian (India/China) carved wood, architectural element, sculpture in the form of a dragon head on a quadruped's body, with a long trunk (Ganesh?). Intricate and detailed carving overall. Circa 19th century or earlier. Dark brown with a varied reddish/brown, glossy patina.
Has a tenon joint on top and remains of another on the bottom, for attachment without screws, nails or glue.
Height: 22 1/8 inches. -- 56.2 cm. Width: 8 3/4 inches.-- 22.2 cm.
Can be hung on a wall from the eye-screw on the rear.
