These is a vintage Herman Pecker miniature stuffed animal. Is it a dog? Is it a horse? You've got me. Ha. Herman Pecker Plushies are very collectible. Check out your favorite auction site for examples. I found some selling for $60. Manufactured in Japan. What kind of fabric is it? Mohair, you ask? I don't know. Tag only says it's all new material. Amazing workmanship. Strange upper lip flap. If it is indeeed a dog, one can only imagine the poor hound that was the model for this dog. Ha.

It's hard to date this - it was my mom who was the expert - but based on my research I'd guess 1960s. In case it isn't obvious, this is not really a toy for children. More of a decoration for a child's room.

My mom collected antiques her entire life. She loved going to flea markets and thrift stores in search of hidden treasures. Now that she has passed I am selling off her collection.
