Antique rare pair of Louis XVI style wall appliques, french empire gilt bronze sconces representing the "Quiver of Arrows" motif.
Hand-Chiseled Excellence. The background features hand-hammered stippling, creating a shimmering contrast against against the polished fletchings and arrowheads.
True ormolu finish, the heavy gilt-bronze (ormolu) has aged to a deep, buttery gold luster.
The reverse shows traditional sand-casting marks, natural verdigris oxidation, and period inventory stampings, confirming their origin in 19th-century. It also features hand-incised "bench mark", a hallmark of 19th-century artisanal workshop.
