Job Description:
We are a growing, high-end tile installation company seeking an experienced Tile Mechanic to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled installer who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works efficiently, and understands proper tile installation methods.
Responsibilities:
• Perform tile installations including floors, walls, showers, and niches
• Make accurate cuts using wet saws and angle grinders
• Properly back-butter tiles and set tile to industry standards
• Grout tile cleanly and consistently
• Work alongside the Lead Tile Installer to complete projects efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements:
• Prior experience as a tile mechanic or advanced tile helper is required
• Must be proficient with tile saws, angle grinders, and basic layout
• Must understand proper tile setting and grouting techniques
• Valid driver’s license required
• Reliable transportation to job sites in the 5 boroughs and Nassau County, Long Island
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
