The body is solid mahogany. The neck is mahogany with a 24-fret ebony fretboard, pearl dots, a traditional Guild Chesterfield inlaid headstock, and Guild-branded Schaller-style tuners.
It is the “D” iteration of this model, indicating 1978 double-cream DiMarzio pickups – a PAF in the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge.
The highly ergonomic and very functional design makes playing extremely comfortable in either a sitting or standing position. The guitar features a three-way pickup selector switch, two volume and two tone controls, and a phase switch for reversing polarity. The fully-adjustable chromed bridge has roller saddles to adjust string spacing.
The overall condition is excellent, with only typical dings and nicks mostly on the edges from nearly 50 years of use.
The guitar comes with its original case - which is extremely rare and difficult to find!
