Both units have been professionally serviced recently, addressing the typical maintenance required for high-end vintage gear.
# B&K MC-101 SONATA SERIES PREAMPLIFIER
This unit features an external outboard power supply to minimize noise.
SERVICE HISTORY: In 2022, I sent this unit directly to B&K (prior to their change in ownership) for a full tune-up and update to the latest factory circuit revision.
MAINTENANCE: I recently replaced the power switch with a factory-original part.
BONUS: Includes a set of resistors for the phono stage to allow for custom cartridge loading.
MC-101 PUBLISHED SPECIFICATIONS:

# B&K EX-442 SONATA SERIES POWER AMPLIFIER
A high-current, dual-topology power amplifier known for its ability to drive demanding speaker loads. I have it driving 4 ohm speakers that dip into 2.7 ohms perfectly.
SERVICE HISTORY: Purchased in 2024. The previous owner had the unit professionally inspected, and capacitors were replaced where needed to ensure it meets original specifications.
EX-442 PUBLISHED SPECIFICATIONS:
- Power Output: 200 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 350 watts per channel at 4 ohms
