We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic person to wear our Koala mascot costume and help promote Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) — an initiative teaching people how to support others who may be struggling emotionally.
You’ll be the face (well, the Koala face) of our outreach team — spreading smiles, hope, and awareness about mental health in a fun, approachable way.
🗓 Dates & Locations
Saturday, November 15 - 8-11pm (Lawrence_
Sunday, November 16 - 11am-3pm (Lawrence)
Monday, November 17 4-8pm (Plainview)
Please be available for all three dates.
Breaks and refreshments are provided — we take care of our Koala!
💰 Compensation
$30–$35 per hour (depending on experience)
Paid at the end of each day (cash, Venmo, or PayPal)
Parking and water/snacks provided
🐨 What You’ll Do
Wear our Koala mascot costume (provided by us)
Greet community members and pose for photos
Hand out small flyers and giveaways promoting Mental Health First Aid
Be friendly, positive, and animated — no speaking required
Take breaks every 30–45 minutes (you’ll have an assistant to help)
✅ Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a mascot costume
Friendly and professional attitude
Able to stand/move for short periods and handle warm costumes safely
