1978 De Rosa - SUPERB ORIGINAL Condition - $3,300 (East Patchogue)

53 CM, with a TTT De Rosa pantograph Stem.
It is the “Professional” or “Prestige“ model, and was almost certainly made by Ugo himself, of Columbus SL tubing.

I built this bicycle in 1980, having bought the frame in 1979, from Visentin Bicycles in Oyster Bay.
I carefully chose from among the finest Italian components (except the Swiss Edco headset,)
deciding on using as many gold-anodized parts as were available.
Gold so well-complemented the Ugo Blue frame and its yellow decaling.
The handling and response are amazing, as you’d expect from De Rosa, who built bikes for Eddy Merckx.
Unfortunately, I am no longer able to ride very much.
