Titled "Portfolio of Medical Interventions," this vibrantly colored collection of six (6) beautiful prints was issued by Ethicon, Inc. (a division of Johnson and Johnson) as a service to the surgical profession in 1955. These prints are an effort to achieve the simplicity of abstract design without losing medical identity.

The portfolio consists of:

INTRODUCTION PAGE

PLATE 1 -- Cholecystectomy

PLATE 2 -- Pyeloplasty

PLATE 3 -- Gastrojejunostomy

PLATE 4 -- Operation for Patent Ductus Anteriosus

PLATE 5 - Colostomy: Mikulicz

PLATE 6 -- Thyroidectomy

Plate dimensions: 14.5 (H) x 11.5 (W) inches.

These prints are in great condition. The paper portfolio jacket has foxing. However this shouldn't be of significance, should the prints be individually framed for display.
