This is an antique stained glass panel in it's original window frame as removed from a converted church in upstate NY sometime in the late 1940s. The window frame was painted white with many layers and I had it stripped and refinished about 20 years ago - it had been in storage for approx 50 years before that and I suspect this could be as old as 100 years old or more. A brass hanging chain is attached with eyelets to the top of the window frame. The glass panel itself is approx 25" Tall x 20" Wide and the entire outer dimensions including the window frame is approx. 30" Tall x 25" Wide. It is in excellent condition with NO cracks or damage. The glass edge and all pieces are bordered in lead came and has two reinforcement bars across the rear. The outer turquoise and red colored glass are semi-opaque/semi-translucent and the remaining pieces are clear/translucent and the center flame appears to have details lines painted on it. An interesting and attractive design that looks equally good hanging on a wall or in front of a window with light behind it. Several photos taken with and without flash.
